This was our first visit to this location. It's cozy and quaint. I had a green elephant tea that was delicious. We had curry puffs, pad Thai and Singapore noodles. All very good. The waitstaff was friendly and right on the ball.

I had high expectations for The Green Elephant since it’s an all-vegan restaurant, but unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. We ordered the curry puffs, miso soup, basil fried rice, and parotta with curry. The parotta with curry was the only dish we enjoyed. The curry puffs were a letdown—they were over-fried, and the oil smell was very dominant. The miso soup tasted like something that could easily be made at home, they used the wrong type of seaweed and it lacked depth. The biggest disappointment was the basil fried rice. It was completely burnt, had a strong bitter aftertaste, and the ratio was off, which made it unpleasant to eat. I really did not enjoy it at all. As someone who is a vegan, this restaurant was a big letdown for me.

One of my favorite places to eat in Portland! Everything I’ve ever tried has been fantastic, with my favorites being the tofu masala and pad Thai, the dumplings and spring rolls are fantastic as well! Super kind staff! 💕 would 10/10 recommend!
