I have been waiting for MONTHS for a good Shawarma spot to open in Oak Park, quite literally counting down the days until Habibi’s opened. I came here today with my mother who was visiting from out of state, and was AMAZED by the beautiful interior. We ordered chicken shawarma wraps, lentil soup, falafel, and rice—all which were so incredibly delicious. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly, and the vibe was immaculate. Habibi’s is here to stay!!

The falafel are perfectly crisp outside and tender inside. The garlic smash is smooth and creamy — not heavy or overpowering, but it spreads across your whole tongue with rich garlic flavor. The chicken shawarma bowl was fresh, layered, and balanced. And the homemade green hot sauce? Fire. (Fire good, not burn-your- tongue hot.) So glad I tried this new spot!

SO. GOOD. Chicken was well seasoned & juicy, portion was fantastic especially for the price. Great staff, super friendly. Very clean place. Perfect new spot.
