Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Excellent food but do not try to make a reservation online on Resy or any other platforms - they do not actually take online reservations!!! I was coming in from out of town and had a reservation for 7:30 p.m. my train ended up coming in earlier so I changed the reservation to 6:30. When I arrived I told them the name of the reservation was under they were not able to find it. They asked me if I had made a reservation online and I said yes and they said oh you shouldn't have done that because we don't look at those. My companion and I ordered and the food came out promptly. It was all hot and fresh and well-made and delicious. We got the lumpia rolls and pork and fish sisig dishes. Everything was soooo good and the portions were huge. The dessert menu also looked really good but unfortunately they were out of basically everything so we were not able to order. We got to around 7:30 p.m. and another couple of people came in saying that they had a reservation for 7:30 but the server told them that they did not take reservations online and that they had no record of their reservation and that actually the restaurant was about to close so they did not seat them. I guess I am glad that I ended up showing up early or I would not have been able to eat here... The overall ambiance is very authentic in that it's kind of a hodgepodge type place that feels very much like being in Asia. Docked points just for the sheer chaos and unprofessionalism of the reservation system. And for listing dessert menu items that weren't available.

We came for lunch, which I know is a busy time and the place is pretty small. I went inside to check if there were any open tables, but there weren’t. I asked if they had a waitlist, but they don’t, so we had no idea how long the wait would be. We ended up standing outside in the cold because the server simply told us to wait, with no names taken and no estimate times. When I asked again, all I got was, “You have to wait,” which was frustrating. After about an hour of waiting with no update, I finally went back inside to check again. A table happened to be open, so I basically had to seat myself. I get that peak hours can get hectic, and we actually drove hours just to try their food, but a little organization would’ve made the experience so much better. Even just a time range or a simple list would’ve helped. The food itself was amazing. SISIG is definitely worth recommending. The service was not great, but it honestly doesn’t take away from how good the food is. I really hope they improve their system because the food deserves better service to match it.

Such a gem! The food was very tasty. We ate almost everything we ordered. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Service was friendly and genuine. It’s the kind of place I root for . Would definitely come back with friends for kamayan!.
