Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

This review is way overdue, so here I go. At this point, I'm a regular. Hehe he. My friend is the one who mentioned we go here for lunch, and I was hopeful since I love some good and authentic Asian food. We dined with our little ones, and they are definitely kid-friendly, which I love. That was when I fell in love with their Kung Pao chicken and have been ordering it every time. I also ordered chicken Pad see ew for our little ones, and they liked it. My friend and I ordered from their lunch specials. It is Monday through Friday until 2:30 p.m, and they have a lengthy list of the main courses you can pick from, and it also comes with a side of either their fried rice or white rice and an egg roll. My first experience was great since the food was delicious and customer service was superb. Danielle is so welcoming, friendly, attentive and has provided superb customer service all the times I've been here. The owner is nice and attentive to his customers. The most recent time was today, February 24,2026. This is definitely a family owned business that cares about their customers. My little one loved their garlic chicken since I gave him some for lunch and he even licked his little fingers. That was definitely a first. 10/5 for him. The times we've dined in our waited on my food I go inside instead of just waiting on my car because they are just so sweet and welcoming. Their Kung Pao chicken spicy level 5 is one of my favorite dishes. 10/5 Garlic chicken is delicious 5/5 Chicken Pad see ew 5/5 My husband liked their orange chicken, and I'm just more of a savory or spicy kind of person when it comes to my food. The interior is spacious with about 8-10 booth tables and 4–6 tables in the middle, and they sit anywhere from 2–6 people, depending on the table. Overall, all the dishes we've had are filled with umami, delicious and good portions for the price. As one of my fellow Yelp friends mentioned, "don't get fooled by the exterior appearance." It's a great spot and I highly recommend you stop by if you haven't.

We visited Happy Bowl for the first time this evening and we will definitely be returning customers! We had Pad Thai, Drunkin Noodles, and a Thai tea. All sooooo good! The owners are so sweet and welcoming. Can’t wait for our second visit!

Go for the the really good food at cheap prices. This is truly a hidden gem, in a nondescript strip center on White Settlement Road, closer to the plant than 820. It's a grandmom-and-grandpop operation, with assistance from the son and daughter-in-law, as best I can tell from three visits now. How much of a family business? The cashier area has been turned into a place for the granddaughter to spend her time in while she's there. The atmosphere isn't much -- a few things hanging on the walls, a plastic plant by the door, a few tables and booths. But the food is really good, and really cheap. Last year, a server at Thailicious recommended Panang curry, and it immediately became one of the items on my last-meal list. It's been good everywhere I have tried it, and it was really good at Happy Bowl. For the unfamiliar, it's meat (I like chicken chunks) in a coconut milk-based broth that's sweet yet flavorful, with your standard choice of 1-5 seasoning. Level 2 was a bit much for me, so I'll drop down next time, but two glasses of sweet Thai tea eased the fire. My wife got the garlic chicken, and my son the orange chicken, and both said theirs was really good. Fried rolls for an appetizer and a tip (we usually only get water when we dine out) brought the total damage to about $60.
