Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

🌟 Harbor View Café – A Gulfport Gem with Flavor and Friendliness to Spare! 🌟 From the moment we arrived, Harbor View Café impressed us with its easy-to-find location and stunning views—especially if you snag a seat outside. The atmosphere was spotless, and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. Friendly, helpful, and impressively prompt, they set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. We kicked things off with the Fried Mac and Gouda Cheese Bites, and wow—they were a knockout. Perfectly fried with a smoky Gouda flavor that paired beautifully with ranch, but the real magic happened when we added a splash of J. Lee’s hot sauce to the mix. That combo? Absolute perfection. For entrées, we tried the Biloxi Po’boy “all the way” with eggplant fries. The sandwich was solid, but those eggplant fries stole the spotlight—light, crispy, and packed with flavor. Next up was the patty melt, which was cooked exactly to our liking (a rare treat these days). The marble rye and homemade chips made it a standout. We also had the grilled shrimp po’boy with more of those addictive homemade chips—generous portions and bursting with flavor. We were too full for dessert, but that just gives us the perfect excuse to come back. Harbor View Café nails it on every front—great food, great service, and a view that seals the deal. Well done!

I've been eating at Harbor View for at least 15 years. I have never once had a bad experience. The food has always been delicious. The cakes are huge and decadent. Breakfast is traditional with their own twist. The food is Southern Coastal without being heavy or greasy. The eggplant fries are a must. Their building is spacious and charming. It has the most beautiful, most comfortable, outdoor seating this side of Gulfport. Their servers are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I would give them 10 out of 10 stars.

Second time to this place, the food was not special. I tried ordering tacos for taco Tuesday since they had a sign out there advertising that. But they didn’t actually serve tacos. They served something like a taco in a bowl of some kind but not tacos. I ordered a patty melt Bad choice.. Was not good probably the worst patty melt I’ve ever had. I do not understand that when a place has one job is to serve good food so many restaurants fail. But I guess since most of the people that come to this area are tourist maybe after a few beers everything taste wonderful
