Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Everything was delicious! The service is wonderfully fast and pleasant. This includes the great soup and entrees that I've had as well as a desserts that I get to bring back home to Ohio and share with my wife. We were both thoroughly impressed with them. I've even taken a local relative there and she loved it and plans to bring her friends there. Every time I am back in Louisville I look forward to heading back to Heart and Soy.

The "tempura" was not tempura - just deep-fried. The fried tofu was ok, but not crispy and not a lot of any other flavor coming through. The steamed rolls were falling apart and served on top of most of the ingredients that I expected to be inside the rolls. It's nice to have a vegan/vegetarian option, but there is plenty of room for improvement. On the bright side, this location is cute and cozy. And the service was impeccable.

Our favorite place to eat when we have the extra dollars. We always order the avocado rolls and cucumber rolls as appetizers to share, as well as vegan fajitas and a Thai salad. The tamarind sauce is delicious. I crave it regularly (wish they would bottle it).
