Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

The food here is very good! Highly recommend. We went as a large party and all the foods we got were delicious. The koobideh is juicy and tasty. The fesenjoon was perfect. The chicken kabob was also very good and juicy, not dry and overcooked like most Iranian kabob places. They also bring fresh bread with appetizers which is rly good. Someone else got the kabob bowl and it was rly good variety of meats, I got to try the lamb shank too which was perfect. The only dish that was not great was the chicken with bone in , it was too sour and the skin of the chicken was kind of coming off. It was not my favorite but rly everything else was rly good. Someone else in our group got the lamb shank which looked sooo good. I didn’t try it but looked rly good. Would def come back here !

Tried Heaven on a Fork for the first time and had a great experience overall. The lamb kabobs (medium-rare) were the standout — juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. The beef koobideh was also delicious: soft, flavorful, and really well-balanced. The chicken koobideh wasn’t my favorite — it had a noticeable parsley aftertaste that didn’t quite work for me, even after adding lemon and sumac. I also had the Cornish hen, which was excellent, and the saffron basmati rice was fragrant and paired beautifully with everything. Definitely coming back for the lamb, beef koobideh, and Cornish hen!

This is one of the best Persian restaurants in Southern California. Not only is the food absolutely amazing, but the atmosphere and service truly set it apart. Everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. Mr. Morteza, the manager, is exceptionally kind and attentive. He takes the time to care for guests, offering thoughtful recommendations and explaining the ingredients and flavors with genuine passion. Highly recommended. Once you try it, you will likely become a regular—just like I did.
