The lady, not sure of her name, and I am pretty sure she owns the place - ole gurl runs the place like the navy. It's fantastic. I've never had a bad experience here. The bartender serving me, Nick, was also phenomenal. His recs were amazing, too. My favorite place to eat in Montgomery County.

This is an amazing Japanese restaurant, probably the best in the area. It’s a well rounded restaurant, offering lots of dishes beyond sushi and ramen. We got the takoyaki, chicken okayodon, and tonkotsu ramen. They were all very delicious and authentic, with the only minor issue being the ramen broth was a bit too salty. Hefun is so good. It’s right in downtown Blacksburg and it never disappoints. The wait time is always quick, the service is fantastic, and every bartender and server is great and attentive. I’ve had alot of their stuff, the steak and chicken hibachi, and I’m originally from New York, so I’ve had my fair share of good food, but nothing has ever hit like Hefun’s hibachi. The flavors are solid, the portions are generous, and it’s consistently cooked perfectly every time. Their drinks are also super unique and perfect before a night out or for keeping things rolling after. Overall, the vibe is great, the food is fire, service, and vibe is all great which is why I go there all the time.
