Hellen's Family El Centro

Man I just want to give a huge shout out to the young Chef Mr. Tran. He's holding it down with his younger brother as his kitchen helper while their mother Hellen is recovering from a major health crisis. I notice not only is he sincere about the quality of the food, but he's also passionate about serving healthy clean dishes. Of course I had to have the pho & it did not disappoint. Usually when I eat pho I have a ton of flem & mucous that I hack up afterwards, however I did not have any of that here. I can't say enough good things about this literal home style Vietnamese restaurant, it's authentic & satisfying. It's really hard to find any good quality pho let alone quality Vietnamese food in the valley, but while I'm here I'm coming back as regular as I can. These guys definitely deserve 5☆'s and good tips. Kudos 👏 and Cam'on to the Hellen family kitchen crew, you're making your mother proud and portraying a good image for the Vietnamese community of Ca.& the greater Imperial Valley.

The Pho(beef) to go was so good. It was prepared and portioned well with very good utensils. The sides were packed very well and with care. Utensils included a soup spoon (which I personally love) and chopsticks. I have had Pho to go before but the preparation and taste of this, is the best in the Valley. Pho tasted fresh, delicious, and filling. This is my new favorite spot.

Best Vietnamese food in the Imperial Valley. I love their Pho (best broth in town), their Viet empanadas (think chimchangas), their Bahn mi (not currently on the menu), and my favorite has been the pork belly with rice (drool worthy). The location change might feel confusing, since their in a residential area/former family home, but don't let that stop you from stopping by for delicious food! (Only reason I didn't give it more stars for atmosphere, it's a small space, but comfy.)
