My Family and I have lived in Bella Vista for many years to which my husband and children like to play golf and eat at our local Highlands restaurant. The past (3) times our bartender/ Waitress Jessica has been nothing but condescending and rude to our family with her service. We love the atmosphere that our small community has to offer; however, my family spends good money in our community and feels this kind of treatment from her shouldn't be tolerated from good paying customers with their families.

What a joke. Because we own so much property in Bella Vista, we thought we would try to support the POA restaurants since they’re paid for by the members. What a mistake. Our order came out completely wrong, our waitress was fired for some reason in the middle of our meal and the manager basically yelled at us in front of the other patrons when we voiced concerns about all of it. It was quite humiliating honestly. Only to be followed up by the manager of all the POA restaurants, who also had a terrible attitude and clearly could not have cared less. There is a reason why the POA restaurants in Bella Vista continue to fail. No accountability and the members keep paying whether it’s successful or not. This place is a disgrace. A good meal however, was had at the BV bar and grill and a friendlier staff. We will not recommend nor ever dine at the Highlands Pub again. It’s just an expense to the members for lackluster food and terrible service.

The food is consistently good, but the service is quite slow. On several occasions, we’ve waited 20 minutes or more just for someone to take our drink order. We have also had to hunt for a staff member to take our food order after waiting 30 minutes or more—even when the restaurant is almost empty. The restaurant often seems understaffed, and at times we feel more like a burden to the staff than welcomed guests. That said, we enjoy the food—the pizzas and salads are excellent. I hope the POA begins doing a better job for its members when it comes to customer service at this restaurant. Based on these experiences, I’m not very encouraged to visit the other restaurants managed by the BV POA.
