Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

First time here. Food was delicious! My daughter got the shoyu ramen, my husband had the yakiudon and I had the yakisoba. We shared bao buns and spicy edamame and had the Japanese Cotton Cheesecake for dessert. Amazing food, super friendly service and very reasonably priced.

Excellent food and service! We ordered a variety of things to taste including yakisoba, chicken tonkatsu, a rice bowl, red bean cake with ice cream. This was the best Japanese food we've eaten since leaving the W Coast! Not oily, served very hot, flavorings were authentic. It was all delicious, no complaints. Servings were generous. I saw lots of ramen being served, looking forward to trying it soon. The staff is lovely, pleasant and they hustle. This is an open kitchen so you can see the food prep. Btw, this is not a steakhouse, it's a noodle house. This is a small place, not a lot of tables and you will sit close to other customers. Turnover was quick even over dinner hours. Update 02/26: have tried several more menu items. The fried squid is delicious! It is properly cleaned, perfectly fried and very tasty. The cucumbers in ginger sauce are excellent. Favorite ramen is Tan Tan, very hot/spicy but fabulous. Any dish made with the udon noodles is going to be good. The traditional tray containing katsu, soup, salad, etc., is not only fun if you have never had it but it is all fresh & delicious. They now sell beautiful T-shirts!
