Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I’m an avid chole bhatura fan, and this place definitely delivered! The channa was flavorful and really hit the spot. I also tried the hot honey potatoes for something a little different, and they were a great addition. Overall, a great experience with tasty food. I come here often and will definitely be back!

Honest Restaurant has become one of my go‑to spots in Charlotte for flavorful, authentic vegetarian Indian food. The menu is huge, but the quality is consistently impressive — everything tastes fresh, vibrant, and true to the street‑food style they’re known for. Among the dishes I tried, the pav bhaji was a standout with its rich, buttery flavor and perfectly toasted pav. The Kattapa sandwich was surprisingly delicious — a fun, spicy, Indo‑fusion twist that really works. I also loved the Bhakri pizza, which had a crisp base and bold toppings that made it feel both comforting and unique. For mains, the pulav was aromatic and satisfying, and the Indo‑Chinese options didn’t disappoint either. The Manchurian had great texture and flavor, and the Paneer Chilli struck that perfect balance of spicy, tangy, and savory. The service was friendly and quick, and the space is clean and welcoming. Whether you’re craving classic Indian street food or want to explore something new, Honest Restaurant delivers great taste and value. I’m already excited to go back and try more from their menu.

We have been here a couple of times. The first time we ordered the kattappa sandwich which was good. The next time we ordered triple schezwan fried rice and the veg garlic noodles. After 40 mins of ordering we finally got the schezwan garlic fried rice which was wet and the rice was a little raw. Later we came to know that it comes with a gravy which was not served. The garlic noodles was not good, it was strong on soya sauce and definitely will not be ordering it here. Update : we had been here for dinner and we ordered vada pav and kattapa sandwich . Both were good, the vada pav was good with the spices added.
