Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Beautiful fresh food. Quite a few vegetarian options, though not much in the way of protein. We enjoyed the eggplant dip snd mixed green salad.

Great food and service! I have celiac and they had great gluten free options. I got the chicken kabuli and it was soo good! The rice and chicken thigh was super flavorful and the sauces were a great addition. Will definitely be coming back!

We had a wonderful experience at Shah Restaurant in Woodland. We tried the mantu, samosas, and bolani, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The mantu was perfectly prepared and full of flavor, the samosas were crispy and well-seasoned, and the bolani was fresh, savory, and comforting. You can really taste the care and authenticity in the food. In addition, the service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for flavorful, homemade-style Afghan cuisine with great customer service. We will definitely be back!
