Humo Woodfire Oven Kitchen

I was very surprised with my experience at Humo. The food was amazing. I had the salmon and my husband had the carnivore pizza along with the mac and green chile. The vegetables and mashed potatoes that came with the salmon were delicious and full of flavor. The salmon was perfect with the crispy skin still on. The pizza and macaroni were so good as well. I had the Mexican beer and it paired great with the food... especially because it was nice and cold. I hope they continue to make their food like this and not cut corners in the future changing the taste or the menu. I don't like to go out to eat much because it's so expensive now and the service or/and the food suck mostly everywhere but this place was super impressive. The live music (man playing the clarinet) was the cherry on the top.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in East El Paso. The ambiance is very elegant and cozy. Our server Francisco was very professional, courteous and friendly! We ordered an appetizer of their calamari which was some of the best calamari I've had! The breading and sauce were excellent. We ordered the margherita pizza and added pepperoni to it. The pizza was delicious and was baked in a firebrick oven. EXCELLENT! We highly recommend it. The restaurant has a nice romantic atmosphere that is also family friendly. We will definitely be back!!
