Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Hunan Gardens is located in a strip mall located by Gabes in Findlay, OH. I guess they have been there for over 20 years. The inside has plenty of table and booths to sit at. The decore done in a maroon and mint green walls. Very beautiful. We started with eggrolls of course. They were hot and crispy crunchy just the way we like it. Tim ordered the sweet and sour chicken and added a little hot mustard to give it a bit of a kick. The chicken was breaded and fried nicely. Very tender and delicious. The Kung Pao Chicken has peanuts, celery, carrots and water chestnuts and a brown gravy with some heat. I asked for extra hot and it wasnt, but neverless it was good. We both got fried rice. It too was good. The service was excellent, we just missed the lunch crowd and the lunch specials which seemed to be a good deal. The booths, although comfortable do not offer support to prevent being launched into your food by the guy sitting on the booth behind you, pushing and shoving the back of his seat to get in. I dont know why people are not considerate of others when getting in or extracting themselves out. He learned the error of his ways. Our second visit to our new favorite places to eat list, because, priorities. Service was excellent, again, thanks to Jude, the smiling ninja of attentiveness. We love him waiting on us, he's like our new BFF. We had a deep, meaningful discussion about what to put in my curry, aka, how much heat can I handle? I wanted it hot-spicy, because, sweat is fat crying, and ended up mixing some chili oil in with the rice, perfection. The womens restroom was clean, because, sanity, and the handicap stall was accommodating for wheel chairs and walkers, a total must-have for some in our crew. Tim got the sweet and sour chicken, again, because, why mess with perfection, and, of course, it's not a meal without an eggroll, duh.

We recently dined at Human Garden in Findlay, Ohio. The service itself was good — our server was attentive and friendly — but unfortunately the food was very disappointing. The dishes felt like a confusing mix of different cuisines rather than a cohesive menu. My chicken dish was an unnaturally bright neon yellow and even stained my hands, which was off-putting. My significant other’s meal tasted and looked like it was heavily smothered in barbecue sauce, overpowering everything else. We ended up boxing most of the food and throwing it away shortly after leaving, which is never something you want to do after dining out. I really wanted to enjoy this place, especially given the good service, but the food quality and execution just weren’t there for us. Hopefully this is something that can be improved going forward.

This is the second time in a row that we've been missing food out of our takeout order. I know we should have double checked before we left the restaurant., but this review is just to make people aware to check your orders. We really do like the food at this place.
