Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

This place is AMAZING!! My husband and I always eat here when we are in Tooele. The food is delicious, the service is excellent. They are friendly, respectful and pretty fast! (One of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had)

We decided to try Hunan Village on Saturday when we were in town for an appointment. I have to say I love traditional Utah Chinese restaurants, always have, restaurants like Red Dragon Chinese Bistro, which is my current fave, to Kowloon Cafe that is now permanently closed, the food is always some of the best comfort food around. Having said that we were so pleased with our meal. First off the restaurant was very clean and the servers were very welcoming. I loved the traditional Chinese decor. We both ordered from the lunch menu, my husband started with the egg drop soup, I had the hot and sour soup, both soups were very good, my husband was very impressed with the egg drop soup. The cream cheese wontons were excellent, perfectly made and so crispy, they are called cheese puffs on the menu. My husband had the prawns with vegetables along with ham fried rice, he really enjoyed it. I had their version of General Tso’s chicken, it was delicious. The ham fried was not a stand out. Overall we just really enjoyed the whole meal, the portions were big, we had leftovers to take home and the price point is so reasonable. We are excited to take our kids there for dinner.
