I visited Hyderabad House in Irving out of necessity, as many nearby restaurants were closed, but the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The service was notably poor, setting an unpleasant tone for the meal. Matters worsened when one of the plates served to us was visibly unclean, raising immediate concerns about hygiene and attention to detail. We ordered four items from the menu. The Green Chilli Chicken was passable but far from impressive. Based on the waiter’s strong recommendation, we tried the Chicken Majestic, which unfortunately turned out to be completely tasteless and lacked the richness and balance the dish is known for. We were also encouraged to order the Vijayawada Boneless Biryani. This was perhaps the most underwhelming item of the evening—the rice was dry, and the chicken carried an odd sweet and tangy tomato-forward flavor that bore little resemblance to authentic biryani. It left one questioning whether the kitchen truly understands the fundamentals of this iconic dish. To conclude the meal, we ordered a mango lassi, which was equally disappointing. It was not sweet, the yogurt tasted unfresh, and there was an unmistakable off-flavor that made it unpleasant to drink. Overall, the experience failed on multiple fronts: service, cleanliness, authenticity, and flavor. Given the quality of food and execution, the name “Hyderabad House” feels misleading, as the restaurant does not live up to the culinary expectations associated with Hyderabad cuisine. This was not an experience I would recommend.

5 stars. The goat kheema curry was one of the best meals (any cuisine) I've ever had. Perfect balance of spice and heat. Tons of flavor. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Hard to imagine having a negative experience here. Looking forward to the next time.

My late night cravings just vanished after tasting the so called joint biryani. I would never come back for the food again. The Haleem was watery and we had to reorder again which came out just like a curry with huge chunks of solid meat which is not a haleem.Very much disappointed and would never suggest.
