I have generally enjoyed dining at IHOP in the past, but my recent experiences have left me deeply disappointed. On several visits, I witnessed a cook loudly making rude and racially offensive remarks toward Black individuals. Hearing this in a family-oriented restaurant is unacceptable, particularly when young children are present. Additionally, I observed staff members vaping outside the restaurant, and on one occasion the cook returned to the kitchen after smoking. When my food arrived, it carried a noticeable cigarette odor, which was extremely off-putting and caused me to lose my appetite. This is a serious concern regarding cleanliness and food safety While the customer service from the waitstaff was otherwise pleasant, these ongoing issues overshadowed any positive aspects of the visit. The final incident that prompted this review occurred during a morning visit, when I observed behavior by individuals who appeared to be management engaging in inappropriate gestures in the work area. This was unprofessional and unsettling, especially in a space where families are expected to feel safe. I am not someone who typically leaves negative reviews, but these repeated experiences have made it difficult to continue supporting this location. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and works to restore a respectful, professional, and family-friendly environment.
