Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Listen, I’ll be honest. I was really intrigued to try Indian food earlier last week. India oven is by far the best. I first tried Indian food for the first time last week and now I’m addicted. I first decided to try Indian food at Saffron Indian cuisine in Bowling Green, but I didn’t stop there. I decided to give India Oven a try. Don’t get me wrong both places are good, but only one can be great. India oven is the winner here. I’ve tried many things at each place. In just this past week, I’ve been trying to decide which place truly deserves my business. At India Oven and Saffron, I have dined in, I have DoorDashed, and India Oven, it never misses. The staff is so friendly. The food is so inviting literally the best food I’ve ever had. Thank you India Oven, I love you!!

We stopped by hoping to enjoy some good Indian food, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. We ordered onion pakoda, gobi manchurian, stuffed onion kulcha and couple other things. The onion pakoda served to us appeared to be from the buffet, lacked salt, and was completely different from what we have had here before. The staff informed us that the stuffed onion kulcha would be similar to an aloo paratha, but that was not the case. The gobi manchurian tasted more like it was coated in ketchup rather than the usual manchurian flavor. Additionally, the stuffing in the onion kulcha did not match what was explained to us and was not prepared well. The only item we genuinely enjoyed was the samosa. Due to the overall experience and the lack of anyone available to address our concerns, we decided to pack the food and leave. No response from owner

6 star food really. I obviously have my go-to meals (previously butter chicken + garlic naan, but now mango chicken + garlic naan), so your mileage may vary, but my wife and I agree that there are few meals that are better. Also, when considering the price, note that India Oven gives you enough food for two meals (depending on the person). Either way, they are very nice people and you won't leave hungry. The combination of garlic naan dipped into butter chicken curry sauce is honestly probably the most flavor packed bite of food that you could create. Their tea is not good lol.
