Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Not bad... Generally do a place in Tacoma on 6th Ave, but drove by this place one day and it caught my eye. The reviews being good made it a promising place to dine. Food was decent and in a pinch (aka needing an Indian food fix) I'd probably come back. Order was Chicken Tikka Masala (butter chicken) and Tandoor Chicken Tikka. Wait was about average, though seemed long for a nearly empty restaurant (Sunday 5:30). My guess the Tandoor took longer. Ordered extra rice since the Tandoor didn't come with rice. Also ordered 2 plain Nan, which came out late, but was so hot you could barely hold it since it was right out of the oven. Tasted very good and I burrito'd my butter chicken in them with rice. Service felt disjointed a little - cook delivered entrees and server with the late Nan. Nice place and ppl. Total bill was $53 and change with a single can of Pepsi.

We have been back to Indian Bite four times and found consistency each experience. Took my daughter who is very particular about taste/flavor of Indian food and she thought this one of the top places she’s had in WA. Service has always been great, very welcoming each visit, kind and communicative, water checked, and checking in to ensure satisfaction. What I like most is mains do not come out fast like other restaurants which means a little more time is spent preparing than slopping together from a buffet tray. Food flavors are delicious and distinguishable from each other. Naan is baked right that nice char that is still soft and puffy

As of this review, they've only been open about 6 weeks, so they're still working out their dine-in situation. Mainly, just building their brand awareness enough to get more dine-in customers, necessitating more dining staff. I hope they're successful with this. Because THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE. BEST. INDIAN. FOOD. EVER!! At least in my experience. I'm not Indian, nor do I consider myself an expert, but I've eaten at dozens of Indian restaurants across the US and Europe and this was the best I've had. I was with 3 other people who agreed. We all tried each other's dishes and each were amazing. I think they're staying pretty busy with take-out, but they have plenty of dining space. They also stay open a little later so if you're hungry after an evening event, it's a great option. I will be frequenting this place and craving it in between visits. If I could give the food 6 stars, I would. I particularly recommend the Butter Chicken and the garlic naan. BTW, the portions are a very fair size, providing good value. Update: We ordered for pickup and I thought it was unfortunate that the online menu doesn't have the pictures of the dishes like their dine-in menu does, so I took pictures. Hopefully this is helpful.
