I love J Christopher’s. This was my second visit, and my family’s first, because I recommended it based on the excellent food and business reputation. The food and staff were exceptional. However, our experience was marred by a concerning incident: a customer brought in a non-service dog, a poodle, which was licking off plates and cups. We immediately requested the waiter to get the manager. The manager came out and informed us that she couldn’t require customers to present papers for a service dog, and she could do nothing about the dog licking plates and cups. I found this situation highly disappointing and disgusting. My family has decided not to return due to this matter. Aside from that incident, everything else was excellent.

Great fun the omelette was so delicious and I could even get it with egg whites.

I’ve been going to J. Christopher’s for quite a while now, and until recently, I’ve rarely been disappointed. Unfortunately, my last few visits haven’t lived up to the standard I’ve come to expect. I usually order the skillets, but lately the potatoes have been extremely dry, with some even burnt. The coffee has also gone downhill—on one visit, a friend jokingly asked me to pass him the “brown water.” We ordered a latte as well, and it tasted like creamer mixed into water—no foam and barely warm. I truly hope this isn’t the new norm. I’ve always loved this place and what it has to offer, which makes this even more disappointing. It’s hard not to notice that the care and attention in the cooking just doesn’t seem to be there anymore. On top of that, the bathrooms were unpleasant and clearly not well-maintained. When the restaurant was slow, employees were sitting in booths on their phones, which didn’t help the overall experience. I really didn’t want to write this review because I’ve always enjoyed J. Christopher’s, but time hasn’t been kind to this location lately. I sincerely hope they’re able to get back to what they once were in the coming year.
