1/5 Stars: Unacceptable Freshness—High Ratings Are Misleading Restaurant: Jido's Gyros Date of Visit: 10/27/25 Time: 1:15 PM I was eager to try Jido's based on its high ratings, but our experience was severely undercut by a fundamental failure in quality control, specifically regarding fresh ingredients. The Food: Compromised by Spoilage I ordered the Gyro Plate. While the main element (the gyro meat) was fine and cooked adequately, the overall plate was ruined by the accompanying salad. The iceberg lettuce was visibly browning and clearly not fresh, suggesting that it was past its prime or poorly stored. Serving spoiled fresh greens like this is unacceptable and immediately brought into question the standards of the kitchen. A Note on Quality Control When an establishment has high ratings, you expect consistency, particularly with freshness. If the kitchen notices a core ingredient like lettuce is past the point of service, it would be far better to temporarily omit it and inform the customer than to serve something visibly spoiled. This small lapse in quality ruined what was otherwise a serviceable meal and significantly detracted from our entire dining experience. The Service (Needs Improvement): Person behind the counter stayed on the phone and engaged in a very important call and never actually acknowledge me as a customer, a simple "hello" will suffice. Value and Final Verdict Considering the price and the basic error of serving spoiled produce, the value was zero. It is frustrating when a place with high visibility fails at such a basic level of food prep. Recommendation: I strongly recommend that potential diners proceed with caution and encourage management to prioritize daily checks on produce freshness.

Got myself the schwarma chicken over rice. It was so delicious. The nan bread was so fluff and warm. Had to go back for dessert! If you think you’ve had good Dubi chocolate, you’ve had nothing compared to his. Made in house and stuffed full of the crispiest, fresh pistachio heaven! Would give more stars if I could.

How in the world does this place have almost 5 stars? I just ate there... Had to purchase a second drink because the fountain machine needs its lines cleaned or needs a new filter. You can taste the bad water content. I told them this and they still charged me. My order took a while to come out, it was incorrect. And the $12 Dubai chocolate cheesecake turned out to have mint and it was trash. This place is trash. Awful. And they didn't have any customers , the mall is dead, yet they still looked all flustered and frustrated. Awful.
