So grateful to have found a fully vegan restaurant in Sarasota of this quality. As a vegan for 5 years and career restaurant server I could not have been more impressed. The vibes were absolutely immaculate, with the cuisine to match. I started with the mule mocktail that featured a vibrant mix of elderflower, ginger beer and fresh herbs. My date sipped a luxurious moscato and we ordered the shiitake escargot and caprese salad appetizers. It was a great combination of umami/fresh and the texture of the cashew mozz was on point. Then for entrees we did the miso eggplant and the saffron stuffed tomato. My roasted heirloom was cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor, and I savored every bite of the creamy risotto. My date raved about her eggplant , and the other dishes I saw around the room looked stunning as well. Chocolate cake with homemade whipped cream and caramel is a must. Pat, our server was helpful, gracious and attentive. Overall I really couldn’t have been more pleased. It was more than a meal, it was a one-of-a-kind dining experience, sure to wow you regardless if you’re fully vegan or just open to a new culinary adventure.

We also had a fettuccini & mushroom dish which was to die for & the recommended plant protein steak with mashed potatoes - one of the best vegan steaks I have had in my entire life (vegan since 1992, so somewhat of a veteran vegan here). We had cake & ice cream for desert & felt like we flexed the menu heartily. For a weeknight the place was busy & service was on point, I can’t express how much I genuinely appreciated the terrific experience at Ka Papa!

I would say this is the best vegetarian restaurant in Florida ~ You can tell the ingredients are fresh, and there’s a clear passion behind the cooking. The service was impeccable—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the food they serve. They offered great recommendations and made us feel welcome from start to finish.
