I’ve been to Karai about 3 times and the food has always been delicious. I tried a tuna rice bowl this time around and the warm rice with nice cool tuna sashimi was perfect. The soft boiled egg that came with it was a bit too cold for my liking but was still very good. I got an old favorite the Jurassic Park roll and it did not disappoint. My partner has never been and he got Chashu Buns, and Koroke. He was very pleased with both. I tasted the Koroke and it was very crispy, and warm. The sauce with it seemed like a type of balsamic sauce, it had a very distinct taste but went great with the Koroke and lemon. The service was a little slower this time but they were busy-ish and still very polite.

Absolutely amazing! This is the best ramen I have ever had! We ordered a variety of things on their menu to try and they were all top notch. The karaage chicken was incredible super light and crisp, and this was my first time trying takoyaki and the complexity of the flavor was truly unique to anything I have ever had. Then the ramen was absolutely perfect. We have had other ramens in Joplin where we live and nothing even comes close to this and not to mention this place is way cheaper with an upscale environment, I don’t know how they do it. But every time we are in the mood for a great bowl of ramen and some good Japanese food we are taking that hour drive because this place is absolutely worth it, it’s that good.

Stopped by for lunch on our way to the airport, staff was friendly and place was clean. Ordered multiple rolls, sushi was absolutely amazing. Party ordered some additional items for lunch that were also good, however, should have ordered more sushi as that seemed to be the best part of the meal. Overall great experience and will likely return when in the area for sushi!
