Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

The name is correct, they are the kings. Easily the best wings in the state there is no competition in my eyes. Also the best French frys, so good. I really dig their cauli "wings" too, and their burgers are pretty friggin top notch. There isn't a bad item on their menu, Ryan and Dan know their stuff. Now stop wasting time reading this and go eat their food and become one with the universe.

Tony Cu said best wings in MN, I cannot disagree. 3 of us showed up. Ordered 3 wings; Tag Team, The Forbidden Door, and Spicy Garlic, chicken tenders, and Dill fries. Tender, juicy, and FLAVORFUL wings. The Forbidden Door had a little heat but nothing serious. All were delicious. Chicken tenders were tasty and had a nice season on them. The fries were really good. That dill spice was very dill forward and not terribly salty, while the fries were perfectly crispy and didn't turn mushy. We will definitely be going back again and again. Service, there was nothing wrong, there just wasn't anybody. You order from a kiosk and when it is ready, they text your phone and pick it up. Never saw a person. The bartender for Elk River Brewery was super nice though. The taproom (King of Wing is inside Elk River Brewery) was nicely laid out and the lowtops had comfortable chairs. It wasn't overly loud like most taproom, even though it was about half full. We did have beverages and they were tasty.

My wife and I stopped in and tried a few things. We had two kinds of wings and a burger. The burger was awesome. The fries were thin and amazing. The star was the forbidden door wings!! They were like a spicy peanut pesto party in my mouth!! Very unique. We will be back to try more flavors. We also got a couple beers at the brewery and they were very good as well.
