Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Recently had dinner here for my husband’s birthday who is coincidentally from Guadalajara. The food was absolutely delicious! I enjoyed the tacos al pastor topped w/pineapple, cilantro and onions and a side of rice and beans and my husband had birria en consomé which came with a side of rice, beans, onions and cilantro. I will say I do not eat rice and beans from restaurants because more often than not both are gross. However, the rice and beans serviced here were absolutely delicious. I don’t know what sorcery they use but all the food was phenomenal. They carry a good variety of Mexican beers and mixed drinks. The Mexican Candy is a must try. Also, we were in heaven with the spicy salsa top tier! Last but not least the atmosphere was 10/10 not to mention the gentleman who took care of us I wish I asked his name he took such great care to ensure we had everything needed, made suggestions for drinks and specials also credit to the bartender he was multitasking and that says a lot he also mixed my drink which was on point. I highly suggest you personally experience La Taquiza Guadalajara. If we could give them more than 5 stars we absolutely would. Our next visit will be happening soon.

We had such a great experience here! Alejandro was an amazing server super friendly, attentive, and made us feel very well taken care of from start to finish. The customer service was top-tier. The food was 10/10 incredible flavor, great portion sizes, and very reasonably priced. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the location was super convenient. Honestly, the photos don’t do this place justice at all. You have to experience it in person. We can’t wait to come back again soon!

We drove 45 minutes after seeing one of their funny TikToks—and it was totally worth it! The service was warm and welcoming; I really enjoyed the vibes, family-owned reminded me of places in Mexico where everyone is sitting around talking as if they are friends. Even though the bar was full it wasn’t rowdy it was a enjoyable ambient. The birria was amazing, and the asada was tender and full of flavor (a big deal since my boyfriend usually can’t stand asada because it’s too chewy elsewhere). All three of their salsas—two green(tomatillo&guacamole) and one red(like smoky chipotle flavor)—were super good. The horchata was a bit watery, but the Horchata Latte was good and definitely recommend it instead of the traditional horchata, even for someone who doesn’t usually like coffee. The rice could use a little more flavor, but the beans were great. Overall, amazing food, great service, and totally worth the drive!
