We stumbled upon this spot for lunch after we landed in Montrose en route to telluride! We felt like we found the hidden gem of Montrose! It is mom and pop feeling, made fresh, and a great variety of options. Our party of 7 had an easy time finding something that they were happy with ranging from spicy Asian salad, breakfast burrito, to pastrami sandwich. And everyone left happy and full. The portions are big- we definitely could have split but we just bagged out leftovers for the car ride and I’m sure the toddler will be happy to have options en route to telluride. It is worth noting the food is freshly made and not too fast for a party as large as ours. We would still come back but maybe just run to the grocery store after we placed our order. But overall a 5 star experience :)

This place is amazing! The staff is so welcoming and you can tell they love what they do. When you walk in, there is a kiosk to order which is really easy to use. The food was quick and delicious! My husband had the smash burger and I had the Asian noodle bowl— we were both happy with our choices! They also have an outdoor patio and cocktails, which we’ll take part in next time. Thanks for having us, we will definitely be back!

I've been wanting to try Layered since they opened downtown and I finally got to today, the flavors and portions did not disappoint! The spicy Asian chicken chopped salad was fresh, spicy, slightly sweet and HUGE! I shared it with my husband for lunch and then had another portion left over for early dinner. I also got the tallow fries with ranch and they were equally delicious and nice and crispy without the unappetizing flavor or soy oil that you usually get with fries. I can't wait to go back and try more from their menu!
