Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I’m fortunate to live in Ennis and have this excellent sandwich shop just a few minutes away. It’s been 13 months since I set out to try every sandwich on the current menu, and after trying 36 different sandwiches I can confidently say Limerick’s knows how to make an excellent sandwich. Some sandwiches became clear favorites, while others weren’t quite to my taste—but the variety, quality of ingredients, creativity of the combinations, and most importantly the staff, keep me coming back. My personal favorites: The Habana is my number one. It’s just flat-out delicious and hits every note perfectly. The Hollingshaye is my second favorite, and it leaves me wanting another bite every time. Payne’s Pork, a newer addition, quickly became my clear third favorite. The spicy jalapeño coleslaw adds a special kick that really makes it stand out. Other sandwiches that really impressed me and that I will happily order again include: The Tyrant, Harley’s Turkey, Beef Bacon Cheddar, The Dirty Dozen, Patty Melt, Turkey Ciabatta, Italian Sub, Ferdie, The Godfather, Rich & Rich, The Porky, Stoney, and The Cosmo. These were all packed with flavor and felt like what this shop does best. For anyone looking for a lighter option, I also want to highlight their veggie sandwiches—and yes, I tried all of those too. I especially recommend the Dlabaj. Final Thoughts After working through the current menu, my biggest takeaway is the consistency and creativity. The shop clearly puts effort into quality ingredients and unique combinations. While not every sandwich was my personal favorite, I ate every single one and tried to give each a fair shot. Bottom line: I highly recommend if you're in the Ennis area to stop by and have lunch. You can try one or all, there’s truly something here for everyone

Legit sandwich shop. I had my baseline Italian sub. Delicious. Wife had Diane Club (pictured). “Very fresh and delicious. Worth the trip from Hachie.

Tucked into the heart of downtown Ennis, Lemeric’s Sandwich Junction feels like a delicious time capsule wrapped in small-town charm. The moment I stepped through the door, I could tell this was a local favorite—the kind of place where the staff greets regulars by name and the smell of toasted bread drifts through the air like an old friend. The menu offered an impressive selection of handcrafted sandwiches, each made with obvious care and attention to flavor. My order arrived quickly, layered high with fresh ingredients and perfectly balanced textures—crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful within. Every bite felt thoughtfully composed, the kind of sandwich that makes you pause mid-conversation just to savor it. Even the sides were noteworthy, simple but done right. Outside, downtown Ennis added to the experience. Quaint brick storefronts, well-kept sidewalks, and a relaxed Texas rhythm made for the perfect setting to stroll off lunch and explore. There’s a nostalgic beauty here—an old-town heartbeat still alive and thriving. Lemeric’s isn’t just another sandwich shop; it’s a small reminder of how good food and friendly service can make a place memorable. Whether you’re a local looking for a familiar favorite or a traveler passing through, this stop in Ennis deserves a spot on your map. It’s hometown hospitality served between two slices of Texas pride.
