Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Really delicious food made to perfection! The malai boti lacked some flavor, it tasted more of the heavy cream than the spices, but the butter chicken was bomb! And the biryani was fabulous! Just the best biryani in town I’d say. This biryani style is Indian not Pakistani so it’s quite different in spice selection but it was the best biryani I’ve had around here and also had plenty of meat chunks not just bones.

I love, love the food here - some of the best I've had in the Chicagoland area! I have a huge appetite & subcontinent/South Asian fares are one of my favourite, as I've been eating them my entire life. I don't have to drive too far anymore to enjoy quality Indian cuisine 😌. The tandoori tikka, butter chicken, cheese naan, mango lassi, veg biryani & simosas were all a 10/10. The mint & tamarind chutneys are the unsung heroes which punched above their weight (chef's kiss) 🤌. The hospitality & professionalism were on another level! Our server Anna (sorry if I misspelled your name) was very friendly. Thank you, Little India team! 🇮🇳🍛

This place is a no frills hole in the wall type place, but they keep it clean and the food speaks for itself. My mom, sister, nephew and I came here for early dinner. The waiter or possibly owner was very nice, he offered us a extra samosa cause me, my sister, and nephew each wanted one but it only came in a order of 2. We each ordered a lassi- i originally was going to just get a diet coke cause I am diabetic, he said he didnt have any but offered to go to the liquor store and grab one next door. I thought it was sweet but I really didnt want him to go thru all the trouble. So I opted for a non sweet ' salt lassi.' THIS was my fault for not thinking of how it taste- but it was very savory and salty so I didnt finish it- that was my fault not his for not considering that. Lesson learned. The food was delicious. I got the paneer, my sister got masala, my mom got daal, and my nephew got butter chicken. I asked for Nana cause I dont usually like rice but the rice was cooked so perfectly I actually ate it with my food. The paneer was delicious and my mom, sister, and nephew said their food was really good. The samosas were some of the best and the sauce that went with it was so fresh tasting. It was all delicious. It is no frills but the hole in the walls serve the most delicious food. And this was the best Indian food. The naan was the best I had in awhile. I would Def go back. If you care more about really good food over ambience dont overlook them! They are very good and the server or owner was very nice and accommodating.
