Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Customer service ,was great! However, food not so great. My sister and I went around 6pm. I think when it was towards evening close to closing. Oxtail and gravy tasted sweet, almost like honey or sugar was covering the over cooked oxtail. Then the portion wasn't great, on small side. Mine mostly bones. I paid for 2 orders. 1 curry goat, cabbage, rice n peas, plantain. Mine was Oxtails, Mac n cheese taste like left over, rice n peas, plantain. Total $67? I grew up with step dad being from Jamaica and an exceptionally awesome cook. So I am very familiar with how most carribian food suppose to taste. Bridgeport, Awesome Sauce the best by far. Probably won't be back.

I have been meaning to check out this spot for months maybe a year or so I'm not sure. I only expected a juice bar but as I was passing by I noticed they also had hot food. Needless to say I stopped by. The flavor of what I ordered was good, but there were other areas of opportunity such as packaging and speed of acknowledgement. Customer service was decent for a small business, but I would like to see a bit better as well. I'll be back to see what the standard is but at the very least it is another option in Naugatuck which doesn't have many options that I care for.

Very disappointed but keeping an open mind and giving them the benefit of the doubt because I just don't know. This site says they open at 8a.m. and close at 8p.m. on Wednesday (today). I drove here from Milford, arrived around 12:30pm. The hours posted on the eatery door says OPEN 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Wednesday. There are two signs on the doors that say OPEN however, the doors are all locked, lights are turned off, appears no one is inside. There is no note on the door explaining why they are closed. I considered they may close for lunch so I ran a few errands and called on my way back into town hoping they might be open. I called @ approx. 2pm and again at 2:30pm, no answer. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this common at the business? UPDATE: Okay, I see now from previous reviews, this is their common business practice. What else is very disappointing is no one from the business responds to our concerns, not a word. It's really too bad because I do prefer to support the small local business owners. Not sure I can trust or support a business that operates this way.
