Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

IYKYK. This place is a gem! Most authentic Japanese ramen experience in the Bay Area. The katsu ramen was incredible, every bite carried forward the intention and care of the chef. Tried a few sushi specials as well. Portions were generous and everything was amazing. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty Japanese meal. They sell out daily so make sure you don’t come too late. The matcha latè reminded me of the cafe we stopped in after landing in Tokyo. It was fun to reminisce on our trip to Japan watching the HD aerial shots they have looping on the TV. Great selection of Japanese snacks as well. They even have a Japanese toilet in the bathroom!

Pretty good food. Ive never been to Japan but it def feels like this is probably what it would feel and taste like if you went to an authentic Japanese restaurant in Japan. The fish was good, taste fresh and not fishy at all. The Ramen tasted like its home made fresh at the beginning of the day. The chausu pork was tender, like tender tender and just melts in your mouth. I also live out of town, I will def come back if I pass by again. Def come try this place and taste for your self.

Who else loves hidden gems as much as I do. IYKYK! While I was hosting an open house nearby, my lender raved about this spot and of course I had to check it out for myself. She brought me 2 different types of Musubies. So glad I did! Great vibe, great food, and definitely one of those places you can’t help but share with friends. Can’t wait to go back!
