Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

While the inside could use some TLC, the gentleman who took our order was polite & overall the food was delicious & a good value. We tried: Babaganoush- nice smoky taste Baklava- ok, not a lot of flavor, with just a hint of a sweet taste Lamb gyro- delicious!! Dolma- star of the show!!! Most delicious dolmas I've ever had & I legit want to go back just for more of these!

I’ve been in Texas for 15 years and have rarely had authentic Mediterranean food—until now. This family-owned restaurant Makan is truly Above & Beyond. The food tastes exactly like the Middle East, and I especially loved the Jordanian Mansaf—absolutely delicious! The service was amazing; they welcomed me warmly, made me laugh, and were just very nice people. I definitely recommend everyone try it. Amazing food, amazing experience

Absolutely delicious Mediterranean food! The hummus and baba ganoush were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had—so flavorful and fresh. I ordered the falafel plate, which came with warm pita bread, creamy hummus, and creamy baba ganoush. Everything was perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. The service was excellent—fast, friendly, and I truly felt welcomed and appreciated from the moment I walked in. Prices were very reasonable too, especially considering the quality. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for authentic and satisfying Mediterranean cuisine!
