Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Manna has been a staple restaurant in my repertoire for years and I have celebrated many special occasions there, from graduating from UNCW to birthdays, celebrations of life, and some of the best date nights I have had in Wilmington. Dining at Manna is not just a meal, it is an experience. Every detail is thoughtfully curated. Having lived in New York and California and experienced fine dining in much larger markets, I can confidently say Manna consistently performs at a level comparable to top-tier city restaurants, all while being rooted right here in Wilmington. The service is impeccable. The flavor profiles are creative and refined without ever feeling forced. The presentation of each dish is a true art form. And the cocktails are, without question, the best in town. I often tell people to order the oysters with pickled onion sorbet. They are one of the most memorable dishes on the menu, and calling them life changing does not feel like an exaggeration. After more than 20 years of dining across this area, I can say we have some great options, but Manna simply does everything better.

I had an incredible experience at Manna. From the moment we sat down, the service stood out in the best way. The staff brought so much energy and personality to the table, and every spiel they gave about the dishes and drinks was actually helpful instead of the usual scripted stuff. They were attentive the entire night, checked in at the right times, and made the whole dinner feel intentional. The food itself was impressive. I ordered the steak and fries, and it came out cooked perfectly with a rich, glossy sauce that paired really well with the crispy, seasoned fries. You can tell they take the time to get the details right. The kale dish had a great mix of textures with the sesame and the pickled onions, and the sauce along the plate added a ton of flavor without being heavy. Dessert was one of the highlights. The chocolate pot de crème and the warm fruit crumble both tasted like something from a higher-end spot without feeling pretentious. Rich, balanced, and a great way to end the meal. The cocktails and appetizers are where Manna really shines. Everything we tried felt carefully put together and genuinely worth the price. Some entrées are a little expensive for what they are, but the apps, the drinks, and the overall experience make it more than worth the visit. The combination of great service, thoughtful food, and a relaxing atmosphere makes this place an easy recommendation. If you’re going for the first time, definitely start with a couple appetizers and a cocktail—you won’t miss.

Manna is a charming lil spot. The cocktails were outstanding and the service as great. My only gripe is that a few of the dishes, including a salad were very salty. I was, "assalted" by the dried cheese on my salad, and so was one of my companions who ordered the same salad. The duck dish was particularly salty as well. If you have high blood pressure concerns you may wanna reconsider eating there, otherwise the food was great, especially the olive oil cake!
