A neighbor of my aunt recommended this place. I overheard they been open for around 8 months. My aunt loved the food I wasn't as impressed and she was a lot hungry than me. I was looking to be impressed by the taste though the serving size was more than enough. For the price a drink should be included but no refills. Refills would cost if I ran the place as a way to pull folk in. Place was clear with plenty of seating. The mac & cheese 🧀 was good with proper amout of cheese not sure if mash potatoes were real I believe they wasn't. I was looking for the "taste" with every bite but nothing. I didn't want chicken so I had the beef cube style steak and the collars without any meat in it. Ask for a second corn muffin if you really want to enjoy all the food on your plate. The place got really busy once we got in the place like some type of rush all a sudden. A mature crowd filled the restaurant like this wasn’t their first time. I say give it a try and see if you get a better "taste" for the place than I did. I believe it's worth visiting and getting all the southern comfort food offered. I love real mash potatoes with beef or steak covered with good Ole gravy. This didn't give me the flavor and taste I was wishing for. You may think different so give a try for yourself.

My wife & I were visiting Mobile to spend Christmas with her father. We like to eat where the locals like to go and avoid chain restaurants as much as possible. Mary's Southern Cooking came up and we decided to go there for lunch. They have the absolute juiciest fried chicken breast I've ever had. I also got mac and cheese and corn to go with it. Everything was amazing. Highly recommend for good southern cooking comfort food.
