Authentic South Indian - Tamilnadu style food 😋 loved the food, friendly service, the staffs are warm, friendly and welcoming and they recommend good food suggestions ☺️. It was a pleasure to meet them and my whole family of 5 had a wonderful time conversing with the staff and enjoyed the delicious food 😋. My favorite was Nalli with Parotta, Fish fry, Ambur mutton biriyani (5/5) highly recommended 😋, and masala kalaki. Thalapakatti mutton biriyani was okay (had too much masala and bit salty) we shared feedback with the staff 👍. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR AUTHENTIC INDIAN FOOD 😋🫡 Respect 🫡. Saapadu pramadham makkale, dhairiyam ah poi saapdunga 👏

Do go to this restaurant for a good chettinad cuisine.. when you’re in journal Square in Indian Street. You will see multiple different restaurants within a span of hundred meters… and I’m sure you’ll be confused where to eat.. if you’re craving for a good south Indian spicy food food I strongly suggest this restaurant.. it’s also BYOB.. fantastic service.. the biggest headache is parking.. It’s hard to get street parking and I had to pay about $12 for the parking… if not for the parking this restaurant has only positives . I also had food in their Edison branch. We ordered chicken Chuka and it was really peppery and good.. perfect South Indian aRoma and taste.. my friend had fish fry and he just loved it.. there were five or six small pieces of the fry.. I still think it’s slightly expensive about $20-$22 for the fish and generally all of the dishes.. the best one was dindukal thalapakatti biryani . Nice and very tasty . Good experience overall. Wanted to give a 4 star but gave a 5 star just for the taste and service !!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely loved the food at Masala Cafe in Jersey City! The Dindigul Mutton Biryani was bursting with authentic South Indian flavor — perfectly spiced and tender. The Chicken 65 was crisp, juicy, and full of flavor, while the Pomfret Fish Fry tasted super fresh and well-marinated. The Mutton Chukka was rich and mouthwatering — just like homemade. Definitely one of the best South Indian spots around! Highly recommended!
