As a frequent traveler I like visit different local places where I'm staying. I initially was intrigued based off other reviews and this place did not disappoint and you should absolutely consider this place whether visiting or local, it reminds me of somewhere that would be featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The food was incredible, I chose the Risk It For The Brisket burger as an entre, the Philly Cheasteak Egg rolls for an app and fried honey bun to get an overall vibe of flavor. The brisket was tender and juicy with great bark and when paired on the burger it was a perfect match. The Egg Rolls with their dipping are a great bold take on an east coast classic. I would compare them to the cheeseburger Egg rolls at Disney's Magic Kingdom (IYKYK). And the fried honeybun was something Ive not seen offered before anywhere and was unique and definitely a great dessert. I wanted to try more as there were cocktails that are smoked or have unique twists, unfortunately had to still be present for work purposes but when I have to come back through I absolutely will stop in again.

Food was ok. Nothing special. I am adding more details to my original post because the owner wanted more details. It is disappointing that he is blaming our choice to get the cheaper options for my dissatisfaction. All the food should represent the best the restaurant can offer. I am comparing the food we got to other restaurants with similar food. This food was not a good as other restaurants that charge less for the same type and amount of food. We got the $25 special and chose the Philly cheesesteak egg roll and mozzarella sticks for appetizers. The egg roll was disappointing. They did not have any cheese flavor just fried food taste. The sauce that came with the egg roll didn't seem to fit with a Philly cheesesteak. The mozzarella sticks were a little undercooked but overall tasted fine. For our mains we got the mushroom Swiss burger and paid extra for the Philly cheesesteak. The burger was greasy and not that good but not bad just ok. The cheesesteak was dry but was better with mayonnaise. Overall the flavor was ok but neither the cheesesteak nor the burger was as good as what you could get from Hwy 55. The service wasn't bad but was a little slow considering we were one of 3 tables seated. The atmosphere was really nice. I was hoping the food would be better but overall it was bar food. I'm sure some of the more expensive options may have been better but for the price I'd rather go somewhere else.

My husband got his food 10 minutes before me. It’s always weird. He didn’t know if he should eat or wait for me. I told him to eat. Food was really slow coming out. We actually got our appetizer last. The server apologized. She said there was a mix up between the dine-in and DoorDash orders. The main issue with this restaurant’s food is that they don’t understand sauces. I ordered the brisket burger. The brisket was delicious but it needed a sauces to pull it together. We ordered the Philly cheese egg rolls. They came standard with sweet and sour sauce. WHAT! Those two flavors do not go together at all. Pros: accept veterans discount. No wait time on a Friday night. Not the best $60 I ever spent. But will return. I’m not giving up hope on this little spot.
