The lunch buffet is reasonably priced and kids under 12 are 1/2 off. The music sets the mood and doesn’t interfere with conversation. The decor is tastefully done. The marigold canopy is a show stopper and also dampens any dining room clatter or reverberation. Perfect for a casual date or meal with the in-laws.

Methi located at Walnut Creek California is a popular restaurant serving varied types of Indian cuisine. We went there as a group of family and friends on a weekend for dinner. We ordered Vegetable Pakora, Paneer Pakora, Pani Poori, Hot Tea, Mango Lassi, Dosa, Idly, Dal Tadka, Dal Makhni, Chicken Masala, Fish Curry, Chana Bhatura, Naan and Tandoori Roti. The dishes were fresh with good helpings but average. Their ambiance and decor are unique. The staff are helpful and good.

Provided 4 stars for overall experience, great service & atmosphere. Ambiance is pretty decent. Food: Butter Roti & Naans are very big size as it should be. 5 stars for size and quality of breads. Daal Makhani - great tasting. Malai Kofta - not creamy (which it should be and we asked for it) but overall taste was not of our liking. There were only 3 kofta in entire dish. Shahi Paneer - creamy and not spicy at all. Best thing I like in shahi paneer was the paneer cubes were small diced as compared to other places with huge chunks. Gobi Manchurian (Appetizer): very very sweet and there were only 4 Manchurian balls rest of it was gravy. Samosa Chaat (Appetizer): samosas were tasty but dry and the chaat was missing one of the main ingredients (sweet yogurt). Chole was ok tasting per our liking. Service: Great and very prompt, courteous service by everyone. Ambience: very traditional with modern touch. Nice ambience. Parking: right next to the restaurant there’s enough free parking available. Nearby: there’s Habbit Burger and Yogurtland next to Methi Restaurant.
