I recently visited Mi Carrera and overall had a very positive experience. I ordered the steak and chicken, and the portion size alone was impressive — there was easily enough meat for two people. Everything was cooked well and full of flavor. In fact, we ended up taking food home because there was simply too much to finish. The other members of my party also really enjoyed their meals, which says a lot when everyone leaves satisfied. The only drawback was the atmosphere. It was fairly loud inside, which took away a bit from the overall dining experience and made conversation harder than we would have liked. That said, the generous portions and solid quality of the food made it a worthwhile visit. I’d definitely return — maybe just at a quieter time of day.

I'll never eat there again. It used to be a favorite, but it turned out to be a horrible experience. Once I found a bug in my jalapeño peppers wrapped in bacon. I ordered two, saving one for the next day. The next day, whenever I had started eating on it, I found what I thought was a piece of bacon to be a huge fruit fly. I put it in a Ziploc bag and took pictures. And kept it the same, so it was untouched after I was severely grossed out. It had to have been migrating there for a while to be that big, but then again, I'm not a bug expert. What upset me the most also was how the employee handled the situation. He told me, "Why did you wait till the next day?" I told him because it was saved for the next day, and also we had ordered late, so they would've been closed. I had asked him for a refund; he angrily told me no. He refused to give me a name. I told him the way he was talking was unnecessary and that I wasn't trying to be rude. I wanted a name for the manager to say who I spoke with. He said that I would have to wait for the manager the next day, seeing that he wasn't there. We have always eaten there regularly to take home, and the manager has always been very polite to my family. It was this one particular employee who finally told me his name was Pedro, which means "dog." How childish can you be? Learn manners, Pedro. My family will not be eating there again.

We were so thrilled to finally try this place for the first time! My husband went for the Quesadilla Texan, and wow, it was absolutely scrumptious! The portion size was massive; we could have easily shared and still left satisfied! As for me, I chose the Chicken Chimichanga, and instead of the usual little square flour tortilla I expected, it came wrapped in long tortillas. The chicken was decent, but it leaned more towards a roasted flavor rather than the spicy kick I was hoping for. But hey, everyone's palate is different! The menu is a treasure trove, boasting over 100 tempting items—it’s like a foodie’s dream come true! The atmosphere? Absolutely delightful! The booths offered plenty of spacious comfort, and the whole place was beautifully decorated, creating a charming vibe that was refreshingly quiet. We can't wait to return and explore more of the menu—there's so much to try!
