Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I was looking for a breakfast spot and came across Milner Place Cafe on Google. I just love these small town cafes!! It is a bit small but doesn't lack in service or deliciousness. The food is good (really loved the home fries!) and you get your money's worth!! The cook even came out and asked how did we enjoy our meal! If you're ever in the area, please give them a try. You will not be disappointed!!

This is an outstanding little mom and pop restaurant with excellent food. Great little atmosphere for a small town cafe. This was the best biscuit I've had since my grandmother passed away. If you're in this area, don't miss this opportunity for good food and great service.

My friend and I were looking for somewhere to meet halfway between my house and where she was staying on her family trip. I found Milner Place Cafe on Google and it had a good rating. When I walked in, I was pretty shocked at how small it was! It had a few regulars (you could tell) seated, and we weren’t sure where to sit or do we order at the counter or? Eventually, as we approached the counter, a gentleman asked if we were going to dine in; we said yes. He said he’d bring us menus. So, a bit of a rocky, uncertain start, but it wasn’t a big deal. We got coffee and tea (my friend was impressed by their tea selection - they had the kind she normally drinks), and eventually preferred the meals pictured. The Food: When I asked if the hash browns could be well done, crispy, and he said yes, I assumed they would be actual “homemade” hash browns. They are definitely frozen hash brown patties like you get at a fast food joint - like McD’s. Everything was quite salty, but aside from that, pretty good. The Service: It was good! They were nice and pretty attentive aside from the beginning - and the end. We weren’t sure if they’d bring the ticket, but eventually, we just approached the counter again. The Atmosphere: More people from town, we assume, came in while we were eating. It was cute, small-town vibe. Lots of “hey, how are ya”s, “this table good, Ron?,” etc. Comfy, relaxed, easy. Bonus, The Cost: A little surprised by the prices, but even small towns gotta eat! See attached menu for the details. I’d definitely go back - I think I’d try breakfast potatoes maybe instead of hash browns…
