Mochilero Kitchen is a great little modern Mexican style restaurant in Peoria! We started with the trio salsas which was packed full of flavor, offering a mild, medium, and hot so everyone can enjoy according to their preference’s. We also ordered the white queso dip which was absolutely delicious and had some pico to enhance the dish. The chips were nice and crunchy, and so fresh, and the quesadilla was cheesy and the flavors were just truly incredible. He got the shrimp & rice platter which he said tasted super fresh and cooked to perfection. Overall the portions were very generous but expected given the prices, we had leftovers for the day after. The atmosphere was nicely decorated and had a fun, welcoming vibe. It was definitely tightly packed and very busy (roughly 10-15 minute wait), but the fantastic food more than made up for it. I’d happily go back next time I am in Peoria!

Excellent service, laid back atmosphere, and delicious food. Our first time here and our server JACKIE recommended our dishes, and they did not disappoint. I had the Tampiqueña (marinated skirt steak + Chicken Tinga w/Mole sauce. My wife had the El Mochilero (Chile Relleno & Mole Enchilada). I highly recommend if you're on the area to give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. Thank you for great great experience and we'll see you again soon.

Stopped by on a weeknight, no wait and greeted immediately. Server asked if it was our first time and offered suggestions. The atmosphere was laid back, but still had a high-end vibe. There's a bar, high-tops, and regular seating. The seats were comfortable and the table was roomy for two. No chips and salsa served, so you have to order it from the Appetizers. The food was very flavorful, I wish the portions were more though. I guess I assumed with most Mexican restaurants, the portions are usually enough. I understand with the area, why the prices are somewhat higher than most people expect; however, the quality makes it worth it. Overall I enjoyed the experience and would return to try other meals.
