Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I had already ate one of the oxtail, but when I tell you meaty and tender. Pasta seasoned to perfection. I also got a side of cabbage and the cabbage was tender and buttery. This food is definitely worth the visit. I was a little skeptical trying new Jamaican food, but this did disappoint.

My boyfriend and I ordered the medium brown stew chicken with cabbage and mac and cheese. The lady on the phone was very nice and told us the medium comes with 3–4 pieces of chicken. Unfortunately, we did not receive the mac and cheese, and the chicken portion was disappointing. We only received a leg and a small breast piece, both with very little meat on them. We also ordered the jerk chicken Rasta pasta, and it didn’t taste fresh. It had a strange flavor, almost like it had been sitting out for a while. There was barely any sauce or seasoning on the pasta. The brown stew chicken portion just didn’t match the price we paid. The rice was good, but the cabbage lacked flavor. The jerk chicken itself was okay. Maybe we went at a bad time, but we were really hoping the food would live up to the hype from the reviews. Update: The owner did reach out to me with a sincere apology regarding my experience. I will not let this one visit ruin my experience with them and we will try again in the future.

This is my second time eating here because my job is within walking distance, the food is good, but the service irritates me. The first time I ordered my food took forever, a good 40-50 minutes after calling in & placing an order for jerk & curry chicken… ok whatever. The second time I call ahead as well, was told it would be 15 , came in 20 just to give them more time & my food still wasn’t ready. They have a order here and a pick up counter , when I walked in there was a person helping someone at the order here counter and he said he’d be with me in one moment, I didn’t ask the person behind the pick up counter was my order ready, the other man proceeds to say “ I said I would be with you in one second like 1000 times” … unnecessary & I wasn’t feeling it. I paid $31 something for this & a chicken patty … more expensive than any other Jamaican spot I go to, probably won’t be back just cause the overall experience was mmhmm 🤷🏾‍♀️
