Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

I visited Namaste Indian Cuisine on California Ave with colleagues, and it was a really pleasant experience. I ordered the Saag Paneer Thali, which included perfectly seasoned saag with cubes of soft paneer, dal, rice, naan, salad, and a little dessert , everything felt well-balanced and authentically cooked. To start, we had the Stuffed Mushrooms, the mushrooms were juicy and generously filled with a spiced, cheesy mixture that paired nicely with the mint chutney. We also tried the Corn Malai Tikki, which had a creamy, slightly sweet corn filling with a mild spice and crisp exterior delicious and light, yet satisfying. The staff was friendly and attentive, the ambiance calm but lively, and the overall meal felt like a really nice, mid-priced lunch spot. Would definitely come back for the thali and appetizers.

Great spot to have a good lunch with colleagues. We sat outside on a beautiful afternoon. The air was crisp and the service was warm. The menu is what you’d expect from a typical Indian restaurant - I went in for a lunch-friendly thali. It proved to be more than a lunch. The dal, curry and nan were delicious, so I took leftovers home. Lassi hit the spot. We had two appetizers - both were elegantly made, amazingly presented and very shareable.
