Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I’m a fan of Nan Xiang Dumplings in Flushing, so I was excited to see they opened a location in Long Island. The décor is inviting, and the food is just as delicious as the Flushing spot. Service is attentive and friendly. Expect a wait during peak hours, but it’s well worth it. Highly recommended.

Good experience eating here despite the packed Saturday night crowd. Next time I'll make a reservation but still it was only 30 minutes waiting. Staff was very efficient and working so hard to keep things moving. We ordered 5 menu items. Braised beef noodle soup, delicious. Fried rice, very good. Pan fried steamed pork bun, yummy, nice textural difference in the steamed bun along with pan fry. Very juicy and savory inside. One order of crab-pork soup dumpling and an order of truffle pork soup dumpling. They were both so delicate yet so very tasty and delicious. Next time I will try other menu items for sure. Yes for 2 this was a lot of food but price is very fair, we wanted a nice sampling, and leftovers are never a bad thing when you enjoyed the food. Only its so much better served fresh to the table and eaten right then. Looking forward to our next visit.

If you're looking for an authentic and truly delicious meal on Long Island, look no further than Nan Xiang in Westbury. This place is an absolute gem, moving far beyond typical takeout fare to deliver genuine flavors and specialties that left me incredibly impressed. The undisputed stars of the menu are the famous soup dumpling. They were delicious, thin-skinned pockets bursting with savory broth and perfectly seasoned filling. Following up the dumplings, the pork buns were another highlight. They were perfectly steamed with a light, fluffy wrapper and a rich, satisfying pork filling. The scallion pancakes were wonderfully flaky, crispy and savory, the plum sauce was a great compliment to it. The udon was fantastic—chewy, thick noodles tossed in a flavorful sauce. The grapefruit peach green tea was the ideal accompaniment. It was incredibly refreshing, bright, and perfectly balanced, cutting through the richness of the savory dishes. Nan Xiang delivers top-tier, authentic Chinese cuisine in a lovely setting. It’s a guaranteed fantastic meal and definitely deserves a spot on your must-try list!
