I have a gluten allergy so I called around 12:30 to ask if they provide gluten free pasta. The owner or cook said he would be able to make gluten free pasta with 30 minutes to an hour notice. I called with a 45 minute notice, but he wouldn’t slow down to listen and rushed off the phone. My fiancé decided to call since they sounded so busy and made a reservation for 4 adults and distinctively said one person will need gluten free modifications. When we arrived, the waitresses had no idea we had a reservation; but luckily, they had a table open. They asked the cook about it, and he confirmed that we did call about a reservation. When we sat down, we noticed that the phone number on the menu (this one seems to go to the front phone) and on the online menu (this one seems to go to the cook) were different. My fiancé took it upon himself to double check on the gluten free pasta. The waitress asked the cook about it, and he said there was no gluten free pasta available and no time to prepare it. But he would be able to make any dish gluten free for me. We (4 adults) waited for our food for a little over 2 hours. While my food didn’t have pasta in it, the sauce seemed to have gluten in it because by the time I had finished the meal, I was having a reaction. My fiancé was given a piece of free cheesecake to compensate for the long wait. It looked unappetizing, and he said it was chewy and had a weird twang.

Stopped in one evening this weekend with my fiancé and we had an amazing meal! It’s hard to find an Italian restaurant that we actually think meets the mark, but we were pleasantly surprised! I got the chicken piccata and loved it. He got the spaghetti with meat sauce. Both large portions, great pricing, and served quickly. The food was only outdone by the amazing service we received. True, genuine kindness, great attention, and we felt like good friends in for a visit. We will absolutely be back!
