Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

When we’re visiting St. Pete, we always frequent Neighborhood Joes. Always love this place, but today I stepped outside my comfort zone (I generally get the avocado toast), and ordered the Joe Benny and was blown away!!! OMG….that sauce !!!!!!! Highly recommend giving them and this dish a try….as well as everything else. 👍😁

I’ve walked here for breakfast a handful of times over the past few years, and every single time I leave wondering why I don’t come more often. Last week was no exception! I devoured a delicious tempeh omelette paired with a hazelnut latte and loved every bite and sip. The space is just as charming as the food—walls covered in artwork by local artists and a front display stocked with tempting treats from nearby bakeries. It adds such a thoughtful, community-centered touch. The team is always friendly, happy to share new menu items, and somehow makes every visit feel like I’m enjoying a meal at a friend’s house. It truly has that cozy neighborhood vibe. Thank you for always being such a treat!

Stopped by here while on vacation and hands down some of the best vegan food I’ve ever had!! We got a quiche, the mocha donut, the So gouda sammy, and cuban handheld! 10/10 food, wonderful customer service. Will definitely be back. Thank you :)
