Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

This review comes on a busy night, so keep that in mind You wait to be seated, which wouldn’t be too big of an issue if the layout made it challenging for anyone to see people waiting. Outside of bar staff. Frickles were crunchy and came out hot. Would probably get again. The burger came out cold, in the sense it was sitting waiting to be picked up off the bar not in the sense it wasn’t cooked. Everything is a la carte, so keep that in mind.

Had a fantastic meal in April with my hubby while we're visiting Olympic national park. Back again and looking forward to dining here again! Came early in a Friday evening and sat at the bar. Service, atmosphere was great! We ordered the buffalo wings to share and had the clam chowder. Both hit the spot. Main course was Fish & Chips. The fish cold and the batter was still wet and gooey. Fries were undercooked. Totally a different dish from the time we ate in April! I left the fish basket there and the fishy smell lingers... totally unacceptable. Oh! The bartender didn't asked about my unconsumed food as the bar was getting super busy with Mariners-Blue Jays playoffs goung on. I was so disappointed I didn't take any pics. Photos from the first visit...

It's a shame that this is generally the best place in Port Angeles to eat. I try to dine at businesses 3 or more times before reviewing them. One dining experience, in my opinion, isn't enough to get the full experience. The highlight here? The food is great, if you can get in. Expect to wait 40 minutes to an hour. Even if you just want to sit at the bar. The cocktails aren't anything revolutionary, and the service is mediocre at best. I'm always wondering which vapid, revolving-door, blonde, college student-of-the-week I'll get when I visit and plan to tip accordingly. You pay for good quality food here. "Overpriced" to me means the value and quality are improportionate to your dining experience. It's a sentiment I disagree with in other reviews I see. I buy a round for the kitchen, and leave more jaded with humanity than I when entered, but at least I'm well-fed.
