Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I was looking for something different while visiting Corvallis and I found it at the odd bird cafe. This meal was as good as it looks. The yuzu pistachio toast was especially delightful. Due to allergies I had to ask for the fromage-blanc to be removed, but I'm pretty sure that would take it to the next level! Now, I would recommend they give the place a spring cleaning around the windows, it may just be the historical window seals but something could probably be done.

I was really impressed by the fried chicken sandwich and fries. It was extremely flavorful and fried to perfection. The hot sauce was hot, but not too hot and I liked that it didn’t have a flavor that overpowered the chicken. The house made shoe string fries were delicious and well seasoned. I also had a fresh biscuit which was good, but a little pricey for the size. The service was fine and the seating was comfortable. I definitely look forward to returning.

I was really disappointed with my experience at Odd Bird Café. We waited a long time just to be seated, and once we finally got to our table, it took forever for our food to arrive. Even the water was unpleasant, tasting like it came from a rusted pipe. I ordered the original eggs Benedict with ham, and it was easily the worst I’ve ever had. The eggs were way overdone, the ham was extremely dry, and the English muffins were barely toasted. To make matters worse, the hollandaise sauce was sour and completely off. The one positive was that our server was very nice and tried their best, but unfortunately, the food and overall experience fell far short. I would not recommend this café if you’re looking for quality food or timely service.
