Had lunch here on a Wednesday and was not very busy, but busy enough. Good, diverse menu with great pizza options (broken up into red and white base pizzas). Coming in, you order your food at the main counter and grab your drinks before going to find a table. Alternately, you can come in and sit at the full bar (good beer selection!). The main dining room is large and open with a couple of TVs. The kitchen is separated off by a glass partition and you can see the pizzas being made in one of three wood-fired ovens. Service was quick - the garlic stocks we ordered were at the table within about a minute of sitting down and the pizzas showed up about five min later. Our prosciutto and arugula pizza was delicious! The kids pizza (shaped like America's favorite mouse) was very big and very good (kids pizza and a drink for only 6.50). They also have a soft-serve ice cream machine and will set the kids up with a small cone for dessert.

My wife and I were looking around online for restaurants to eat at before a concert at the nearby Hobart Arena. Old Scratch Pizza stood out to us mainly due to the fact that the building looked so neat as it was a former firehouse When we inside we were unaware of the “order on the other side of the restaurant” way they operated but the bartender girl was extremely patient and friendly explaining how their ordering works and directed us to the other side to order. We were recommended to order the Dayton pizza, which is their basic pepperoni, pizza, and a side of cheese bread. We also elected to order some salads. I decided to try their hot honey and ranch as well, and I was very happy that we did. The pizza has a very great taste. The way they make their pizza is excellent. The hot honey they have is an absolute must and it’s not overly hot so those who don’t like hot things should enjoy it however, you still will have a small kick. The ranch was homemade and my wife absolutely loved it as did I. The salads were good as well. My wife did however wish there was more dressing or a dressing option on the side option as her salad was a little drier than she liked, but it wasn’t a big deal. The cheesy bread was also delicious as was the dipping marinara sauce that came with it. We had great service and talked with one of the assistant managers named Emery. He was very friendly telling us sort of the history of the business and future endeavors that they are considering opening location wise. It was great to see so many friendly employees, especially him who took the time to talk to their customers and ask how things were doing with the food and quality of the restaurant. The building is very neat and clean inside. It’s great that they repurposed this building which is an old fire house. I do wish there was some firehouse memorabilia hanging up inside there to showcase and pay homage to the building’s unique history however it was still a neat atmosphere. My wife and I are planning on returning at some point later this year as our meal was so great and so was the experience. We are from the Toledo area, but we loved it so so much next time we are down that way we are making a detour off the highway just to go there!

Was really glad I found this place, had a really great side salad, and a spicy personal pizza for lunch, the staff was great, and informative. Super atmosphere, plenty of parking. And just over all a really good experience
