This was my first time visiting Galveston during the Mardi Gra weekend anf this SOUL FOOD establishment did NOT disappoint‼️I had the catfish & shrimp combo dinner with collard greens and that DELLISH Mac-n-Cheese. My friends and other dishes like the pork chop sandwich! See attached photos. Can I just say EVERYTHING was sooooooo GOODT! I've been looking for a good soul food restaurant in the greater houston area and I'm now SOLD OUT on this spot! I will DEFINITELY be BACK! Thanks again Edward and Clement. Bless you!

I wanted good, authentic soul food and landed at Ophelia's after reading many reviews. I think I caught them at a bad time, because I and several others waited in line for close to 30 mins before anyone even acknowledged we were there. Another woman in line said that this kind of wait was very unusual. Once our orders were taken, the food arrived reasonably quickly. Unfortunately, by that time I was only able to have a few bites because I had to get to a meeting. That said, the shrimp, catfish, hot sauce, and greens were absolutely fantastic and the portions were generous. The Mac and cheese wasn't my style, but it was very popular with others. If you go, expect a super-barebones space that's very simply focused on good food.

Came on a late evening for dinner on a recommendation from a friend, and safe to say I was pleasantly surprised. The food was seasoned well and the portion size was very generous. I definitely will be stopping by to support this local small business. Ophelia’s is some of the best seafood I have had in a long time.
