My daughter & I had dinner the other nite. I soent time in Peru in early 80s, so excited to try. Each dish had its own distinct flavors. The Empanada Limena Aji De Gallina was lovely w/ mustardy dip sauce. The ceviche classico was different than any i had in Peru. Big chunks of fish & other vegies you mixed together yourself. We got medium & it needed bit more flavor. The papas rellenas were nice mashed potato stuffed with filling then deep fried. It was our favorite. Fried plantain nice & sweet so almost like desert. To drink—Strawberry- Mango Lemonade 1 Maracuya juice. Refreshing. 4-5 booths & also tables.

My partner and I went for their Valentine's Day special. $85/person +tax & 20% gratuity for a 2 course meal + dessert. "All of the hung decorations look nice but the wallpaper is... Questionable." And this is why restaurants should never use AI. Service was terrible. We waited a full 45 minutes from seating to getting our food even as we ordered in the first 5 minutes. Even though she said that the kitchen 'decided' to bring out the first two courses at the same time, it was obvious from the temperature of the food that she forgot about our table. A compliment to the chef for timing the course so beautiful that it exposed the 2nd worst restaurant service I've had in my life. Thanks Alondra. The food itself was alright and could have been worth the price if timed correctly and I regret having to group their work. But I can't properly give credit to the Saltimbocca when I was served the food cold. We had the Salmon Paititi which we found underwhelming for it being the namesake of the restaurant. The Medallon was decent but not as flavorful as it could have been. We had both the Quinoa Real and the Pasion de Chocolate for desserts. The crunchy quinoa reminds me of a sweet parfait with cinnamon hints: do recommend it. The Pasion also alright; suitably moist but the flavor was boring to me. This is why I don't typically go for restaurant desserts. 2/5. I had to restrain myself from causing a scene because it was Valentine's Day.

Kamikaze dinner night, we walked several blocks with no plan and ended up here; so glad we did. Once they knew we were newbies, we were quickly educated on the history of the restaurant, the food and some traditions. Not knowing what to expect, me and my date were never unhappy with our random walk-in, in fact, we were impressed and very satisfied. The menu wasn't huge and I say that as a very good thing as it can be overwhelming when it is. I plan to come back again and try out more items. Prices were one spot where that should be and drink were delicious. 'Til next time...
